Book launch.

PLACED is a series of photographs taken in medium sized Norwegian cities by Verena Winkelmann. The series outlines an urban setting of in-between places, bringing the narrative past the importance of location. Winkelmann has been working on the series for four years, and it is now published as a book and exhibited at gallery ASPN in Leipzig 08.11-20.12 2008. The show will also open in Akershus Kunstnersenter, May 30th 2009.

Flaggfabrikken presenterer celebrates the publishing of PLACED with a small screening of the photographs and a talk between Verena Winkelmann and scholar Morten Torgesrud from the Bergen National Academy of the Arts.
